Questions to ask a clinic in Chennai
Is the doctor who examines me the one who operates?
Ask for both names, and check their registration on the Indian Medical Register of the National Medical Commission. Ask what part of the work technicians will do.
Can I have the consultation in Tamil?
If you would rather discuss risks and aftercare in Tamil, ask whether the doctor or a team member can explain things in the language you are most comfortable with. Consent is easier when you understand every step.
How many grafts do you recommend, and why?
A clear answer explains the area to be covered and the state of your donor hair. If two Chennai clinics suggest very different numbers, ask each to explain its reasoning.
What does the fee cover, and is GST added?
Ask for a written list: surgery, tests, medicines, PRP, follow-up visits and tax. Compare quotes on that basis, not on the headline figure.
What happens if I need a touch-up later?
Ask whether a second session would be charged at the same rate, and whether any follow-up period is included.
