Editorial policy

This site explains what hair transplants cost in India and lists clinics in each city. This page explains how we write and check our content, what we will and will not do, and how to tell us about a mistake.

Independence

No clinic pays us for a listing, for its position in a list or for anything we write. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content. Clinics do not see or approve our pages before publication.

Requests for help sent through this site come to our own team, not to clinics. How we make money now, and how we might in future, is set out in our commercial disclosure. Money will never change which clinics we list or the order they appear in.

How pages are written

Our guides and cost pages are drafted with AI assistance, working from research notes that we prepare for each page. Everything is written in our own words. We do not copy text from clinic websites, search results or other publishers.

We base medical information on reputable sources, such as: - health services and medical bodies, including the NHS, the American Academy of Dermatology and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery - articles in peer-reviewed medical journals - Indian government and regulatory sources, such as the National Medical Commission, and guidelines from Indian medical associations

Cost figures come from our own price research. How we estimate costs explains the method.

How pages are fact-checked

Every page is fact-checked by a separate review process, not by the process that drafted it. The reviewer checks each factual statement against the sources and records the source for each one in internal notes. Statements that cannot be supported are corrected or removed. The fact-check is also carried out with AI assistance. Changes reach the site only when our team publishes an update.

We keep medical statements conservative. If the evidence is limited or mixed, we say so.

No named medical reviewer

Our pages are not medically reviewed by a named doctor. We do not yet have a medical reviewer, and we will not claim one until a qualified doctor has agreed to review our pages and be named. If that changes, we will say so on each page the doctor has reviewed.

Everything on this site is general information. It is not medical advice, and it cannot replace a consultation. Whether a hair transplant suits you, which method to use and how many grafts you need can only be decided by a qualified doctor who examines you.

What we will not do

• Promise results, or describe any procedure as guaranteed, risk-free or painless.
• Publish success rates, unless a cited study supports them, and then we explain what the study found and its limits.
• Publish before-and-after photos, patient stories or testimonials.
• Present a cost estimate as a quote or as any clinic's price.
• Recommend clinics, or show their ratings or reviews. Clinic lists are ordered by public Google rating adjusted for review count, as how clinics are chosen explains; that order is not our recommendation or a judgement of quality, and no one can pay to change it.
• Write anything for search engines that readers cannot see.

Corrections

Our contact page shows how to report a mistake; if reports are not open yet, it says so. In a report, tell us what is wrong and, if you can, where the correct information is published. We check each report we receive, and if we find an error of fact, we correct it and update the page's date. Clinics use the same route to correct their listing; see information for clinics.

How often we update pages

Each page shows the date it last changed in substance. The date does not change when we only change the design.

We aim to review every guide at least once a year, and sooner when medical guidance, prices or rules change. Cost estimates are reviewed when we collect new price evidence. When the estimates change, every page that shows them updates together. Clinic details are rechecked periodically and whenever someone reports a problem; see how clinics are chosen.
